10 Rules of Skin Care

Skin care should be your number one priority, by taking 15 minutes during morning and night time you can prevent a number skin problems and issues that can occur when you neglect your skin. No matter how busy or tired I am I make sure I always take care of my skin and I do believe that these 10 rules are the answer to clear glowing skin. 

  1. Cleanse twice a day (use a cleanser that is suitable to your skin type)
  2. No matter what never skip SPF – UVB is responsible for sunburn while UVA has more long-term damaging effects like wrinkles and premature aging.
  3. Make sure you’re eating your greens – Veggies can boost the health of your hair and skin too.
  4. Use an exfoliant once a week – If you have sensitive skin use an oat based product not to irritate your skin.
  5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
  6. If you want to glow, do cardio! By increasing blood flow, exercise helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital.
  7. Use a hydrating moisturizer. The outside environment dries out our skin so always keep it well nourished.
  8. Use a Hyaluronic Acid mask weekly – Hyaluronic acid guards against DNA damage, Intensely hydrates and moisturizes skin, Improves skin elastin and collagen, reduces inflammation and soothes irritation and promotes even tone and flawless texture.
  9. Use separate products for the eye area. The skin around the eye is a lot thinner and more sensitive so treat it carefully.
  10. Wake up with Vitamin C and go to bed with Retinol – Vitamin C  prevents fine lines and wrinkles and boosts collagen production. Retinol stimulates the production of new skin cells and also helps dark spots, hyper pigmentation, hormonal changes and blemish scars.

Everyones skin is different so what may work for one person may not work for you, it is important to mix up your routine to find your ultimate glow!
